PHOENIX — A DUI suspect was allegedly caught driving over 100 miles per hour on State Route 51 with a toddler in his car, according to the Department of Public Safety.

DPS reports that around 10 p.m. on July 27, a trooper saw a car weaving in and out of traffic, traveling around 90 mph on Interstate 10 near 16th Street.

The car, driven by 21-year-old Javier Jesus Munguia, transitioned to northbound SR-51 and was clocked going 108 mph, according to DPS.

When Munguia was pulled over, DPS says a 2-year-old boy was found in his child car seat secured in the middle of the rear seat.

The trooper also found Munguia's girlfriend in the car in a "highly intoxicated state," court documents show.

DPS says his BAC level was .153, nearly twice the legal limit.

Munguia was charged with aggravated DUI.
