The friends of a pre-teen sex assault victim found and assaulted the suspect before police arrived.
Chandler Police report that on March 5, they were called to a park near Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard where friends of a sexual assault victim had pulled a suspect from his car.
Police say the pre-teen victim and two friends were in the car of a family acquaintance, 22-year-old Esman Ricardo Lopez Archila, when he took them to his home.
Archila reportedly told the girl that he had "something cool to show her in the house." He then allegedly lead the girl to a back room, pushes her onto a bed and sexually assaults the girl. Police say the girl repeatedly asked Archila to stop, but he wouldn’t until the victim bit Archila on his arm.
The girl then managed to get out of the home and run to a nearby park where she told her friends what had happened.
Friends of the victim say they heard Archila say, "she wanted it," when he came out of the home in his boxer shorts.
Archila reportedly got into a vehicle and went to the park to search for the victim. Police say the victim's friends, "pulled the suspect from the vehicle and assaulted the suspect prior to police arrival."
After his arrest, Archila continued to insist that the victim "forced herself on him."
Archila, a citizen of Guatemala, is being held without bond and has been charged with sexual conduct with a minor.
