A Mesa family owes a lot to an alert neighbor who lead police to find a burglar hiding their shower with stolen goods in a home near Higley and Broadway Roads.

Court documents show that 38-year-old Jeremy Neal Stone was hiding in the shower with a suitcase and pillow case full of stolen items.

On March 3, Mesa police got a call from a neighbor who saw a man jump over their neighbor's RV gate and into the backyard.

Police say when they arrived they heard someone still inside the home. When police entered the home they found Stone laying in the master bedroom shower with a suitcase and pillow case full of items.

Police say they found electronics and jewelry stuffed in the cases.

Stone was barely coherent when they spoke with him and after a trip to the hospital, it was found out that Stone was on methamphetamine.

Court documents show that Stone has six prior convictions for robbery, assault and other charges.

He has now been charged with burglary.
