3 men charged for selling 15,000 fentanyl pill bust in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — A west Phoenix drug sting led to the arrest of three men for allegedly selling 15,000 Fentanyl pills.

Carlos Thomas, 23, Manuel Hernandez, 31, and John Pablo Quintero Salazar, 22, were arrested after an informant drug sale sting, according to investigators.

Police arrested the three men on December 11 near 75th Avenue and McDowell Road after an informant set up a meeting to buy fentanyl and heroin, according to investigators.

Thomas reportedly showed the police informant a shoe box containing 15,000 fentanyl pills and a kilogram of heroin worth $170,000, according to court records. He also told police that he was going to be paid $3,000 for his role in the drug deal.

Thomas, Hernandez, and Quintero have been charged with drug crimes, including conspiracy and drug trafficking.
