Valleywise Health has opened a new health clinic in Laveen, with plans to open another in Phoenix this fall.

Funding for those projects totaling $32.8 million in development costs is part of a $935 million bond package approved by voters under Proposition 480 in 2014.

That money also is going toward a $590 million replacement hospital on Valleywise Health's main campus at 24th and Roosevelt streets and well as to expand psychiatric and clinic services.

The replacement hospital is under construction, and the Phoenix-based health system is moving forward on construction of new clinics across the Valley.

Another clinic at 19th and Northern avenues also is under construction and is set to open this fall, replacing the Sunnyslope community health center.
