A newly opened Toyota parts distribution center in Phoenix has hired 61 workers and will service dealers across the Southwest.
Toyota Motor North America officially began stocking the $10 million center in late May, made its first shipment on June 29, and will continue ramping up to be fully operational by July 20, servicing 56 Toyota and Lexus dealers in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.
The facility’s opening means Arizona dealerships won’t have to wait for parts deliveries from distribution centers in Los Angeles or San Francisco.
It allows for same-day deliveries to some areas and overnight deliveries for orders made late in the day, speeding up repair times and customer waits.
