The Thunderbirds, hosts of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, have appointed Chance Cozby as the organization's new executive director.
Cozby will take over the job on Nov. 1, and will succeed current Executive Director John Bridger in spring 2020 after a transition period
A member of the Thunderbirds since 2010, Cozby was tournament chairman for the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open and is currently "big chief" of The Thunderbirds and president of Thunderbirds Charities.
The Thunderbirds raised a record amount for local charities through proceeds from the 2019 tournament.
