Three Banner urgent care sites in Arizona will not receive coronavirus patients

Banner Health has established three Arizona urgent care sites as locations for common illnesses and non-emergency injuries, which will not treat patients with respiratory complaints such as COVID-19.

The sites are meant to prevent exposure to respiratory illnesses such as the novel coronavirus among those most susceptible to them because of pre-existing medical conditions, according to Katrina Catto, CEO of Banner Urgent Care and occupational health.

“Everyone who comes to a Banner Urgent Care non-respiratory location will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms before they can enter the building,” Catto said in a statement.

The locations are open to the general public, offering treatment for most common illnesses or other non-emergency injuries, including broken bones, insect bites and lacerations.

They are located in Gilbert, Sun City West and Tucson. See the exact locations and read more from the Phoenix Business Journal.
