In a new ranking of the most expensive ZIP codes for home prices in metro Phoenix, it's no surprise Paradise Valley topped the list.
But for the first time ever, Paradise Valley's 85253 ZIP code made the top 100 most expensive ZIP codes in the U.S., landing at No. 93 on that national list, with a median sale price of $1.46 million, according to Property Shark.
To determine the most expensive ZIP codes of 2019, Property Shark analyzed residential sales between Jan. 1 and Nov. 5, calculating the median sale price for each ZIP code.
Property Shark also created a separate ranking of the 50 priciest ZIP codes in the desert states — Arizona and Nevada — with Maricopa County claiming 25 of the state's priciest ZIP codes, while two other ZIP codes in Pima County took two other spots on that list.
