Tempe-based business accelerator Black Dog Venture Partners has acquired 50% of a Canadian-based restaurant app company.

Black Dog Ventures CEO Scott Kelly said he has immediate plans to relocate OnPlate Technologies to the Phoenix area. Kelly will become CEO of OnPlate in the deal.

OnPlate offers an app service restaurant-goers can use to order and pay for items directly on their phones — “a one-of-a-kind concierge, waiter, menu and payment processor,” the company's website states.
