Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport saw a slight increase in total passengers during July, even though more than 400 fewer commercial flights landed at the airport compared to July 2018.
A total of 3,832,564 passengers flew into or out of the region’s primary airport during July, 0.5% more than the total passengers Sky Harbor saw a year earlier, according to a report released Thursday by the city of Phoenix Aviation Department.
Even though about 18,000 more people used Sky Harbor in July than compared to the previous year, the airport reported a 2.6% decrease in landings.
With a total of 15,369 landings in July, that accounts for 408 fewer than the same month last year.
