A Scottsdale-based national telehealth provider says businesses looking to bring employees back to the workplace can benefit from a newly developed at-home Covid-19 test.
MeMD partnered with health platform 1Health.io, which developed the at-home saliva test, to enable businesses to order tests for employees who experience Covid-19-like symptoms.
Testing at home is convenient and helps to prevent the spread of illnesses at the workplace or elsewhere, the company said. Health care providers can order the tests in conjunction with virtual patient visits.
The tests are PCR, short for polymerase chain reaction, and detect whether the patient is infected and can spread the novel coronavirus.
