A Scottsdale company is joining in the effort to conduct clinical trials for a Covid-19 vaccine in Arizona.

CCT Research said it is partnering with global pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca PLC to work with health care providers in the state to facilitate the trials for the Covid-19 vaccine.

AstraZeneca, which is based in the U.K. and has its U.S. offices in Wilmington, Delaware, is one of a number of companies and institutions working in the race to bring a coronavirus vaccine to market. AstraZeneca is working in partnership with the University of Oxford.

This week, Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE announced successful trial results for the Covid-19 vaccine they are working on.

CCT Research is recruiting participants for studies in Arizona. Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old, cannot be pregnant, must be in good health and must not have been previously diagnosed with Covid-19.
