Several months after rejoining the Salt River Project, lawyer Rob Taylor has been appointed associate general manager and chief public affairs executive for the utility.

Taylor will oversee state and local government relations and federal and state regulatory matters. He previously had 14 years of experience with SRP and led its regulatory team before he left to serve as the director of federal regulatory affairs and compliance at Arizona Public Service. He returned to SRP last October as senior director of regulatory policy.

“I am incredibly excited to be back at SRP in this role,” Taylor said in a statement. “SRP has played a critical role in the Valley’s history, and much of that role has been defined in the legislative and policy arena.”

Taylor's experience includes practicing law at Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, service as legal counsel for the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee and work for U.S. Sen. John McCain and the Arizona Court of Appeals.
