Walmart Inc. is trying to establish itself as a go-to place for fresh produce and to help that effort the mega-retailer has teamed-up with A-list chefs, including Phoenix’s Justin Beckett.
Since Sept. 11 and continuing through Sept. 20, Beckett will feature a menu item at one of his restaurants, Beckett’s Table, made entirely with produce he picked up at a Walmart store in the Valley.
“When I walk through the aisles of a store, that is when the juices start flowing,” Beckett told the Business Journal.
Inside the store, seeing the produce is where he came up with the idea for the Smoked Green Chili Hatch Cake.
