Scottsdale-based Massage Envy has promoted Chief Commercial Officer Beth Stiller to be the company's next chief executive officer.
Stiller replaces Joe Magnacca, who resigned this month after telling the company's board of directors he was in a brief consensual relationship with an employee.
While the Massage Envy employee confirmed the relationship was consensual, Magnacca and the board agreed that he should step down.
“While the individual confirmed that the relationship was consensual, Joe and the board determined it is in the best interest of the company and its franchisees for him to step down at this time,” Massage Envy said in a statement.
