Maricopa County, Chandler accepting business grant applications for COVID-related losses

Businesses in Chandler and across Maricopa County could be eligible for a new injection fo financial relief for COVID-related losses.

Beginning Aug. 17, Maricopa County will broaden the qualifications for businesses to receive grants.

The county is raising the maximum grant amount from $10,000 to $25,000, expanded the reference period for sales losses to March through June, raising the maximum number of employees in an eligible business to 50, and allowing businesses that have already received other COVID-related to receive grants.

Applications also open Aug. 17 for grants for small businesses located in the city of Chandler that have experienced revenue losses and business interruptions caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The “I Choose Chandler Business Hiring and Retention Program” will provide qualifying businesses with $1,300 per employee retained or hired since Dec. 31, 2019, up to a maximum of $10,000.
