Kohl’s Corp. laid off hundreds of employees Tuesday as the retailer reduced its corporate staffing base by 15%.
A spokesperson for the Wisconsin-based department store chain declined to say how many staff members work at the corporate office or the specific number of employees terminated.
The affected roles included corporate and open jobs in the Milwaukee area, New York City and California.
Across the business in fiscal 2019, Kohl’s had average of 122,000 associates, which includes its retail workforce.
