The Arizona Community Foundation and its statewide affiliates awarded more than $74 million in grants, scholarships and loans during its 2020 fiscal year ending in March.

The distributions include more than 7,000 individual grants and scholarships, including $67,191,251 for health innovations, community improvement and development, environment and sustainability, arts and culture and quality education.

That money included $19 million toward education, $4 million of which went to more than 1,400 students in Arizona.

A number of Covid-19-specific distributions provided general support for organizations, including $5,000 from The Walter M. Wick Family Foundation to Chiricahua Community Health Centers Inc. and $20,000 from the Carstens Family Funds to Central Arizona Shelter Services.
