Information regarding protecting your child on social media is ever changing, from the apps to avoid to the apps to monitor what your kids are doing.

The Children Rescue Coalition released dozens of hashtags parents are using that could be putting their children at risk.

The organization says hashtags like #bathtimefun, #splishplash, #toddlerbath, or #toddlerbikini could be ways sexual predators are getting images of kids. They recommend you don't use any of these hashtags.

Experts say the hashtags overexpose kids and make them vulnerable. The Coalition reports 90% percent of children are featured in social media by the time they are two and 90% of parents have not checked their privacy settings on their phone, computer or social media account in over a year.

Here's what you should think of before sharing your child's image:

  • Why am I sharing this?
  • Would I want someone else to share an image like this of me?
  • Would I want this image of my child posted on the dark web?
