Weather, travel costs make Valley fourth best winter holiday destination, says WalletHub

You've heard the song, right? "I'm dreaming of a sandy, brown, cacti-filled Christmas."

 

Maybe that's not quite how it goes...

 

Regardless, a recent report by WalletHub named the Phoenix metro area the fourth best destination for holiday travel.

 

Check out the top ten in the map below.

 

For warm-weather destinations, Phoenix came in at the number four spot and Tucson at number six.  Some factors the study took into account are travel costs and hassles, local costs, attractions, weather conditions and activities. The Valley ranked high on the list for travel costs and, of course, weather conditions.  Other findings:
