A Golden Retriever from Anthem, Ariz. is top dog. Todd the dog earned the title “Milk-Bone Dog of the Year” at this year’s Streamy Awards.

He may look familiar to some of you. Todd went viral after his owner shared his story on social media. While taking a walk along a trail in their neighborhood, Todd’s owner Paula Godwin almost stepped on a snake. The snake attacked but instead of biting into Godwin’s leg, it bit Todd’s face.

The little golden retriever became an internet sensation. He was even recognized at an Arizona Diamondbacks game.

Now Todd is being recognized again. He was 1 of 3 dogs nominated for the “Dog of the Year” award at the Streamys, an award ceremony for online personalities presented by Youtube.

The voting was done on Twitter where users could participate by tweeting the hashtag #ToddForStreamys. Though the competition was tough, Todd ultimately walked away with the prize.

“It’s about time we start honoring our pets,” Godwin said during her acceptance speech. “I want to say thank you to the voters that voted for Todd. He is my hero, and he is so worthy.”
