AAA is making the roads safer this holiday season.
Drivers feeling a little “buzzed” can call and request a free ride and tow to their car home up to 10 miles. AAA says those needing to go further will be charged a standard towing rate.
The service is extended to everyone, including non AAA members, in an effort to keep impaired drivers off the road during peak holiday times. You’ll need to be heading home or to a hotel to qualify, as rides won’t be given to those bar hopping or going to a repair shop.
The program start date varies by state. For all you Arizonans out there, it will start on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. and end on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 6 a.m.
