The Valley of the Sun is facing its own Polar Vortex as Northern Arizona experiences snowfall. The National Weather Service is predicting freezing temperatures for the desert.
Flagstaff is expected to get 19 inches while Sedona gets up to 10 inches. The Valley can expect gloomy weather and rainy days as well.

The snow is likely to slow down by Tuesday, but the chilling temperatures will linger in the North through Wednesday.
But don’t rush to gather the sleds and kids just yet. The Weather Service said traveling by highway up north may be difficult or impossible. Driving conditions will be impaired by gusty winds, low visibility, and wind chill.
