With flu season in full swing, Walmart is hosting a Wellness Day to help customers save money and live better in the New Year.
This weekend, the retailer is offering customers free flu shots and other health services, including screenings for BMI, cholesterol, blood glucose levels and heart rate, according to a news release.
The event is free and customers will have access to free health screenings and other services, as well as low-cost immunizations.
While there are no out-of-pocket costs associated with most insurance plans for flu shots, customers are encouraged to check with their insurance companies to see if the company covers the cost of the flu shot.
At Walmart, cash price ranges depending on dose but start at around $39.
Walmart will also distribute hundreds of thousands of free apples and mandarin oranges from the produce department.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Walmart locations nationwide.
