The Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation is giving away $2 million in free dental care to more than 2,000 patients.
The annual event is known as AZ MOM’s or AZ Dental Mission of Mercy. Their goal is to provide free services to those who are in need of dental attention.
Nearly 1,700 volunteer dentists, hygienists, lab technicians, assistants and lay people will be present to deliver care. The dental professionals will focus on relieving pain and infection as well as performing services such as fillings, extractions, cleanings, and limited lab work.
The dental service is available for all ages but is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For this reason, patients are advised to arrive to the event early.
AZ MOM will take place on Dec. 7 and 8 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 1826 West McDowell Road.
