5 Family-friendly places to swim across the Valley

PHOENIX – With high temperatures right around the corner for people in the valley, here are some family-friendly places to swim. 

Hurricane Harbor Phoenix

Previously Wet and Wild, this water park has everything under the sun available. Check out what the park entails here.

Big Surf Waterpark

This place housed the first wave pool in the United States, and now it is going into the 50th season. With water slides and surfing, you are sure to have a good time.

Kiwanis Wave Pool

This indoor wave pool is a sure way to beat the heat. The pool is equipt with a 16 feet tall double spiral water slide and six lap lanes. They also have raft and tube rentals available, to withstand the waves. 

Dates and Hours: 

April 6 – May 26 | weekends | 1- 5p.m.

May 27 – Aug 4 | Daily | 1- 5p.m.

Aug 10 – Sept 2 | weekends | 1- 5p.m.

Pecos Park Swimming Pool –

At this outdoor pool, you can take swim classes for all ages and abilities. Some features they have includes water slides, diving boards, spray features, beach entry deck, and a water basketball hoop.

Mon.-Thu.: Noon to 6 p.m.
Friday: Closed
Saturday & Sunday: 1 to 7 p.m.

Desert Oasis Aquatic Center

This public pool is PACKED with goodies it has, a 112-ft. water slide, a drop slide, zero-depth entry & kiddie slide, raindrop & spray whales, sand volleyball court, sand playground, and turf areas.
