Nationwide Vision specializes in laser eye surgery in Arizona, including LASIK.
Our LASIK procedures provide our patients suffering from impaired vision with the ability to see more clearly. We believe that our patients deserve access to the best eye care available including our LASIK procedures, which is why we offer both traditional and custom laser eye surgery at our state-of-the-art laser and medical eye centers.

iLASIK - This procedure combines the WaveScan WaveFront system with the IntraLase method and the Custom Vue treatment to give you the most advanced all-laser treatment.

It begins with a mapping of your cornea called a wavescan using the WaveScan WaveFront System. Your eye is unique-as personal as your fingerprint or your DNA. The wavescan creates a 3-D map that provides detailed information of your vision correction requirements to develop a personalized laser vision correction plan. The next step uses the IntraLase Method to create a thin flap that is folded back in preparation to gently reshape the cornea.
Studies have shown that flaps created with the IntraLase Method have fewer complications and greater stability than flaps created with a blade. Once the flap has been made, the Visx Custom Vue method is used to reshape the cornea to the desired curvature, based on the digital information from your personalized wavescan map. Custom Vue technology can identify, measure, and treat imperfections in the human visual system 25 times more precisely than traditional methods. With your laser vision correction complete, your doctor will reposition the flap, and your iLASIK Procedure is complete. Many people sit up and immediately notice dramatically better vision.

Custom - This procedure begins with the WaveScan Wavefront system to create a corneal map. Instead of laser-created flap, we use a microkeratome - an instrument that glides across the surface of the eye and creates a hinged flap. We then use the Visx Custom Vue method to reshape your cornea.

Traditional -This procedure begins by first using a microkeratome to create the flap and then the Visx laser is used to reshape the cornea, using a standard treatment, resulting in vision correction comparable to your glasses or contacts. The results of this procedure are excellent, and most patients notice a dramatic improvement in their vision immediately after treatment
