Employees have spent months stringing together lights and installing animal-shaped armatures around the Phoenix Zoo for its annual ZooLights display.

More than a million lights and displays will be strung on trees and along the zoo's pathways including lighted monkeys, butterflies, and ants.

Next week the lights will be officially turned on! ZooLights will run nightly from Wednesday, Nov. 22 - Jan. 14, 2018. Here is everything you need to know before you go:

WHEN IS ZOOLIGHTS?

Phoenix ZooLights runs nightly from 5:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. beginning Nov. 22 through Jan. 14, 2018.

WHERE IS ZOOLIGHTS?

ZooLights is at the Phoenix Zoo. The Phoenix Zoo is at 455 N Galvin Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85008 near Van Buren Street and N. Galvin Parkway.

HOW MUCH IS IT?

There are a few ticket options for the Phoenix ZooLights. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, over the phone, or online ($2 discount), and can be for ZooLights or can include the "Dinosaurs in the Desert" exhibit. There is no admission cost for children two and younger.

"Any Night" tickets (purchased online) - $17.95 and can be redeemed any evening of ZooLights. Tickets that include "Dinosaurs in the Desert" are $21.95.

"Value" tickets (purchased online) - $12.95 and can be redeemed on most nights. Tickets that include "Dinosaurs in the Desert" are $16.95. View schedule.

WHAT CAN I SEE?

More than a million lights and lighted animal displays will hang from trees and be placed throughout the zoo.

Music in Motion - A musical light show around the zoo's lagoon. Lights have been synchronized to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Dream of Fireflies" and classic holiday carols.

Tortuga and Jengo - Children will be able to interact, share jokes and play games with Jenga, a life-sized talking giraffe, and Tortuga, a talking Galapagos tortoise.

Dinosaurs in the Desert (new) - A traveling exhibit at the Phoenix Zoo featuring 23 animatronic dinosaurs that make sounds and move. Dinosaurs include Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus.

3-D displays (new) - New this year, 3-D light displays including a giant cupcake and candy pieces have been placed around the zoo. Three-dimensional carrots have been added near the rabbits, the zoo said.

More animal displays (new) - The zoo has also added lighted beetle and anteater displays.

4-D Theatre - Back again, the Zoo's 4-D theater will show "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (additional fee).

Visit from Santa - Mr. Claus will be near the Leapin' Lagoon Splash Pad for pictures (additional fee).

The Zoo said it has been transitioning its lights to LED ones each year. This year, all of the lights are LED.
