When "World of Beer" closed its doors along Tempe's Mill Avenue and Tucson's Congress Street, Wasted Grain moved in.

Now those locations will close and become The Funky Monk, the newest concept from Scottsdale-based Square One Concepts.

According to a news release, The Funky Monk will be a "colorfully comfortable throwback spot that delivers delicious food by day and a psychedelic lounge vibe at night."

The lounge will serve American fare "with a snappy twist," according to the release. The bar is said to focus on mules and floats, among other signature drinks, including ASU- and UA-themed cocktails.

Specific opening dates have not been released, but both locations are expected to be open by the end of March.

Square One's other Arizona concepts include Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Wasted Grain, Crab & Mermaid and Bourbon & Bones.
