The Crown on 7th, the central Phoenix adaptive-reuse project that is home to Okra and Phoenix Ale Brewery's Central Kitchen, is launching a three-month summertime free movie series in May.

The complex has dubbed the series "Movies Under The Stars" and will screen one movie a month in May, June and July within its courtyard. But, what about the heat?

We had the same question.

According to Catherine Arthur of Onyx Communications, the agency that represents the complex, portable coolers and misters will be brought in.

Each movie will start at sundown, approximately 7:30 p.m. Guests are allowed to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

  • May 20 - Ferris Bueller's Day Off
  • June 17 - Happy Gilmore
  • July 15 - Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark

The 7th on Crown is located at 5813 N. 7th Street in Phoenix near 7th Street and Palo Verde Drive.
