Before you head over to cheer on the Arizona Cardinals, why not hit the bowling lanes?
Tavern+Bowl, a California-based bowling alley, will open its doors at Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale on May 18. The concept has been under construction since last year and was initially slated to open in March.
The 18,243-square-foot facility has 12 bowling lanes, plus billiard tables and shuffleboard, according to its website. It also has an indoor and outdoor restaurant and patio.
It is the first out-of-state location for the concept and the first to include microbrewery, Good Bad Ugly Brewing Co.
It is located near Yard House and Bar Louie.
The concept has been under a "soft" opening recently, but will officially open on May 18. The "kick off party" will take place from 7 p.m. - close and include free food and a live DJ, according to the event flyer.
Up to six people can bowl on a lane. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Bowling pricing can be made per game or per hour and varies from $3 - $40, depending on if you go on weekdays or weeknights, according to the website.
Shuffleboard and billiards are free Monday - Friday from open to close. After 3 p.m. on weekdays -- and open-to-close on weekends -- the cost is $6 per hour for shuffleboard, and $8 per hour for billiards.
The addition of Tavern+Bowl brings another entertainment option to the complex joining Dave & Buster's and an AMC movie theater.
