Phoenix St. Patrick's Day Parade & Faire: 7 things to know before you go

We're celebrating St. Patrick's Day a week early in Phoenix lads and lassies.

Grab every piece of green clothing you own and make your way to central Phoenix for the city's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade & Faire on Saturday, March 11.

The parade and fair start at 10 a.m.

Before you head over, here is everything you need to know about parking, pricing and things to do:

WHEN DOES THE PARADE START?

  • 10 a.m. near Third Street and Sheridan

WHAT IS THE PARADE ROUTE?

  • The parade starts at Third Street and Sheridan
  • It then travels south along Third Street to Willetta.

HOW MUCH IS THE PARADE?

  • Free to watch!

WHERE IS THE FAIR?

  • The festival begins at 10 a.m. It takes place at Margaret T. Hance Park, 67 W. Culver Street, Phoenix AZ 85003.

HOW MUCH IS THE FAIR?

  • General admission to the fair is $10. Admission for seniors (55+) and military with ID is $8. Tickets can be purchased online. Children 12 and younger are free.

WHAT IS THERE TO DO AT THE FAIR?

  • According to the website, there will be three entertainment stages with Irish music, stepdancing and bagpipers. There will also be Irish crafts and a kids area. View entertainment schedule.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

  • If you're going to the fair and already have your tickets purchased, free parking is available at parking garage at 1850 N. Central Avenue. A shuttle will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take you to and from the fair, according to organizers.
  • Otherwise, you could try to park at the park, a nearby meter, open parking garage or Light Rail Park N Ride.
  • The closest Light Rail stops are Central/Roosevelt and Central/McDowell.
