A virtual reality attraction is coming to the Valley.

Octane Raceway, which is known for its go-kart racing, announced this week that it has teamed up with Velocity VR and Zero Latency to bring a 3,500-square-foot "free-roam multiplayer virtual reality arena" to Scottsdale.

The virtual reality arena will be part of Octane's existing 65,000-square-foot facility near Pima Road and Talking Stick Way.

Players will be equipped with specialty VR headsets, headphones and replica weapons.

To start, Velocity will offer one game experience, Survival. In the game, up to six players will be transported into the middle of a zombie outbreak and will have to work as teams to protect themselves until the extraction team shows up, according to the release.

Up to six people can play at a time. Each experience lasts 20 minutes, which includes a five-minute training.

The cost is expected to be $25 per person per session, according to a spokesperson.

It is expected to open up to the public over the Memorial Day weekend.

When available, reservations will be available at www.velocityvr.com. Updates and more information about the experience can also be found at that website.
