The fair is back in town!
This time it's the2017 Maricopa County Fair. From the rides to the food to admission, here is your guide to everything you need to know.
MARICOPA COUNTY FAIR 101:
When is it? April 12-16, 2017
What are the hours? The Maricopa County Fair is open Wednesday - Sunday. It is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. - midnight
Saturday: 11 a.m. - midnight
Sunday: noon to 10 p.m.
Where is it? Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix AZ 85007
How much is it?$9 for adults and children eight and older. Children 7 and younger are free. A wristband for unlimited rides is $30 and can be purchased at the fair.
How much is parking? Parking is $8 per vehicle. Bring cash if you can.
Any discounts? Admission is free from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Parking is $8 and not included.
NEW ATTRACTIONS
This year the Maricopa County Fair has added four shows.
- Great American High Dive featuring The Human Torch: Comedia performers free-fall drive from 80 feet into a pool of water. The Human Torch sets himself on fire before diving into the pool. There will be three shows per day.
- Nancy Riegler and Blue Bear-y Bear: Blue Bear-y Bear will be driving around the grounds in a replica Model T.
- Steve's Fun Balloons: A balloon artist.
- Meet Peppa Pig (Saturday only): Fans of Peppa Pig, the TV character on Nick Jr., will be able to meet her on Saturday from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Other attractions include livestock auctions, farm tours where kids will be able to learn about farm life, camel rides, a BMX Bike Show, a pie baking contest (Saturday only), a monster truck show (Friday & Saturday), and exhibits on cooking, crafting, and photography.

FAIR FOOD
Deep-fried goodness is one of the highlights of any fair. Some of the highlights of the Maricopa County Fair are turkey legs, deep-fried coffee, chocolate-dipped Twinkies, Funnel cake and Indian Fry bread.
EASTER AT THE FAIR
The Maricopa County Fair will host some Easter activities on Sunday, April 16.
At 11 a.m., the fair will hold a non-denominational church service. The Easter Bunny will be available for free pictures at the SRP Safety Zone Stage. At 3 p.m. the Easter egg hunts begin.
On Sunday, the fairgrounds open at 10 a.m. Admission is free until noon. At noon, the carnival and rides begin.
