SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Is your car unique enough to be a Hot Wheels toy?

Hot Wheels announced this week that it would return to Arizona this year -- part of its Hot Wheels Legends Car Competition -- in search of the next vehicle to be "immortalized as a Hot Wheels die-cast car."

According to an online schedule, the traveling car show is scheduled to visit the Walmart store at 15355 N. Northsight Blvd. in Scottsdale on Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. - noon.

The tour will feature life-sized Hot Wheels vehicles, including the Hot Wheels vending truck; photo opportunities, a kids zone, and car enthusiasts.

Scottsdale is one of 17 cities across the country, including Miami, Dallas, Detroit, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

At each stop, judges, Walmart managers, and Hot Wheels designers will select one vehicle to be a finalist in the competitions. The finalists will then compete side-by-side at the 2020 SEMA Show, where one will be selected as the winner and turned into a 1:64 Hot Wheels toy car.

The application for the Scottsdale stop will open on September 29, 2020, according to the website. Details here.
