The start of fall usually involves the leaves changing color, daylight getting shorter and the temperatures becoming cooler. In Arizona, it's more or less the time when residents come out of summer hibernation and enjoy dinner on the patio again.
For TV watchers, its when some of our favorite shows return from summer break. It's also when new shows premiere.
Here's a look at when your favorite ABC shows return to ABC15's schedule and a preview of the new shows that have joined the lineup:
Monday, Sept. 25
9PM: The Good Doctor (series premiere) - Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) is a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome and is hired at St. Bonaventure Hospital where the surgical team is skeptical of Murphy's abilities and whether he is beneficial or detrimental to patient care.
Wednesday, Sept. 27
Comedies The Goldbergs (7 p.m.), Speechless (7:30 p.m.), Modern Family (8 p.m.), American Housewife (8:30 p.m.) and drama Designated Survivor (9 p.m.) return for their season premieres.
Thursday, Sept. 28
Shonda Rhimes' hit dramas, Grey's Anatomy (7 p.m.) and How To Get Away With Murder (8 p.m.), return for their season premieres.
Friday, Sept. 29
7PM: Marvel's Inhuman (series premiere) - Marvel's Inhuman transforms the comic book story for the TV screen. This series explores the story of Black Bolt and the royal family.
Sunday, Oct. 1
9PM: Ten Days in the Valley (series premiere) - Jane Saddler (Kyra Sedgwick) is a TV producer of a controversial cop show. She's also going through a divorce, but her life really turns sideways when her daughter goes missing, and she's now on the hunt to find her.
7PM: Shark Tank returns for a new season.
Tuesday, Oct. 3
Comedies The Middle (7 p.m.), Fresh of the Boat (7:30 p.m.), Black-ish (8 p.m.) return for their season premieres.
830PM: The Mayor (series premiere) - The Mayor is a new comedy to ABC. Courtney Rose (Brandon Michael Hall) is a young rapper who runs for mayor as a publicity stunt for his budding career. In an unexpected result, he wins and must now look out for his town.
9PM: Kevin (probably) Saves the World (series premiere) - Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter) is a selfish person who moves in with his widowed sister. There, he meets a celestial being who gives him an opportunity to save the world.
Thursday, Oct. 5
8PM: Scandal, the hit drama created by Shonda Rhimes, returns for its final season. The series stars Olivia Pope as Kerry Washington, a political fixer.
Friday, Oct. 6
Once Upon a Time (7 p.m.) returns for its next season.
