Did you know Oktoberfest began with a wedding in 1810?

It's been reported that it involved drinking a lot of beer back then, and that is a tradition that has been well-kept not only in Munich, Germany but in the United States as well.

We gathered a few of the Oktoberfest parties that are happening across Arizona this month. Scroll down to check them out:

Fountain Hills Oktoberfest (Sept. 30 - Oct. 1)

Fountain Hills' Oktoberfest will be two days of German beer, food and entertainment.

SanTan Brewing Company's 9th annual Oktoberfest (Oct. 1)

There will be a rope challenge, wiener dog races, a push-up challenge, keg stacking competition, stein holding competition and a brat eating competition. Music by Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers and Reel Big Fish.
