If you're the type of person who likes to douse his food in hot sauce, there is an expo happening this weekend in Tempe that you may wish to check out.
On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12-13, 45 hot sauce makers from Arizona and other states will pepper their way through Tempe's Diablo Stadium to show off their hot sauces and take over your taste buds for the inaugural Arizona Hot Sauce Expo.
Besides tasting hot sauces (or burning your tongue off), there will also be nine spicy food competitions with equally daring names like the "Spicy Pizza From Hell Challenge" or the "Spicy Tacos of Zoom Challenge" over the two-day festival.
The Arizona sauce makers that will be there include Phoenix's Homeboy's Hot Sauce, Big Red's Hot Sauce, Mesa's Arizona Spice Company and Precious Sauces, and Tucson's Arizona Chile Roasters, plus others.
Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door. Admission lets you taste all of the hot sauces and view the food competitions. Food and drink can be purchased at the event.
They also have special packages available online for $50 (Beer & BBQ Lunchbox) or $100 (VIP), which include food and drink options.
