The Arizona State Fair is a month away and each year we look forward to seeing what new deep-fried snacks and treats will be making the venture to Arizona.

We got a sneak peek at some of the new stands that will be frying up sugar-filled treats at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, Oct. 6-29:

  • Popcorn Factory - this stand will have 50 flavors of gourmet popcorn
  • Totally Nuts - cinnamon roasted almonds, pecans and cashews
  • Cardinali’s Teriyaki Rice Bowl - a variety of rice bowls including Teriyaki, sweet chili chicken and garlic chicken
  • Drink A Fruit From a Fruit - fruit drinks where the fruit’s shell becomes the cup (ie: watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, coconut)
  • Urban Boba Tea House - milk teas with boba (ie: balls of tapioca) at the bottom
  • A Pop Above Kettle Corn - seven flavors of kettle corn including Snickerdoodle, birthday cake, Flamin’ Cheetos and candy apple
  • Le Crepe - sweet and savory crepes
  • Baja Lobster - a lobster-themed vendor with lobster dog, lobster fries, and lobster mac & cheese
  • Candy Maze - bulk candy will be available for sale

While there are new stands to look forward to, don’t worry, the staples are not going anywhere. You’ll be able to munch on turkey legs, funnel cakes and cotton candy.

Here are the stands making a return:

  • Bacon-A-Fair - a bacon lover’s dream. Bacon-wrapped asparagus, bacon-wrapped pork leg and Oreo bacon bombs
  • Cardinali Woodfire Pizza - meatball pizza and gluten-free pizza fries
  • H&M Funnel Cakes - red velvet funnel cake
  • Funnel Cakes & More - S’mores funnel cake
  • Sally’s Ice Cream - Pineapple Dole cotton candy and cotton candy burrito
  • Piggly’s BBQ - ribs and smoked prime rib sandwich
  • MAE Frybread - Cactus pear lemonade
  • Carne Cafe Taco Stand - Frychos, a mixture of nachos and french fries in a five-pound boat
  • Ricardo’s Hawaiian Feast - Loco Moco and Kutsu Chicken
  • Pony Espresso - American Mexican mango smoothie with honey
  • Sweet Cheeks - deep-fried Lil Debbie Oatmeal cookies
  • The Grill - flaming hot Cheetos Dog
  • Top Notch Gourmet Burger - Buffalo chicken fries
  • Waffle Cone - red velvet milkshake and banana split milkshake

The fair is open Wednesday - Sunday. General admission tickets start are $6-$10 per person, which also includes that evening's concert. If you're looking to save money on admission, check out the fair's deals page.
