General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children (5-13) and seniors (55+). However, there are several discounts and promotions you should know about that can save you a few dollars. Some will even get you into the fair for free.

Here are 11 Arizona State Fair discounts to know about:

ADMISSION DISCOUNTS:

GENERAL ADMISSION PRE-SALE

If you purchase your state fair admission online between Aug. 5 and Oct. 6, you can save $4 on an adult ticket and $2 on children and senior tickets. Adult presale is $6 and child presale is $3.

$2 ADMISSION ON OPENING DAY

The Arizona State Fair opens on Friday, October 7. Admission will be discounted to $2 per person that day until 5 p.m. (that is $8 less than general admission).

'LOCALISTS' GET $1 ADMISSION (pre-registration required, Wednesdays only).

Anyone who wears their Local First Arizona "localist" t-shirt to the Arizona State Fair will be able to enter the fair for $1. You will have to pre-register with the fair and use a special code in order to get the discount. Shirts can be purchased for $12-$15 at the Local First office, 407 E. Roosevelt Street, Phoenix AZ 85004. To get the special code, you have to call Local First at 602-956-0909 ext. 1.
