MESA, AZ — Flight attendants, arm doors and cross-check. We've been cleared for takeoff.
The destination: The Bachelor Mansion and "Bachelor" Peter Weber's heart.
The cast of women set to appear on the next season of ABC's The Bachelor was announced on Monday morning -- and one of the contestants is from Arizona.
Her name is Jade and she is a flight attendant from Mesa, Arizona. (ABC does not list the contestants' last names, citing privacy.)
"Smart. A driven girl. Knows what she wants," is how longtime Bachelor/Bachelorette host Chris Harrison described her during a Facebook Live video on the TV show's Facebook page. He said in the video that she is also working towards her private pilots license. (Jade is mentioned near the 7-minute mark.)
"Can you have two pilots fall in love? We'll see," said Harrison (Weber is a pilot.)
The season premier is scheduled to air on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 on ABC15. Better buckle up, too, because it is a three-hour episode.
In a separate promotional video of the cast, Jade appears on screen and leans to the side, sticks her tongue out, and points her fingers in the direction of the camera.
"Romantic and adventurous dates will test the women's perseverance in pursuing their romantic objective, along with fun, exciting and exotic dates that will elicit real and raw passions," is how ABC described the season in a news release. Country singer Chase Rice, Queer Eye's Carson Kressley, supermodel Janice Dickinson, Bachelor in Paradise's Demi Burnett, and actor Fred Willard will also make special appearances during the season.
In addition to Jade, the other 29 contestants hail from Texas, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, Georgia, California, Alabama, New York, Massachusetts, Nevada, Louisiana, and Virginia.
Weber was a contestant on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette.
