Soon blood-drenched zombies, ghouls and other creatures of the night will take refuge in haunted houses around the state.

If you like screaming (perhaps crying, too) with your friends, then you're going to like this list.

FEAR FARM & PHOENIX HAUNTED HAYRIDE

Fear Farm is back this year with five themed haunted houses and a haunted hayride. The themes are Legends: The Witch, Dark Carnival, The Bunker: Area X, Undead, Slaughterhouse and the haunted hayride.

13TH FLOOR HAUNTED HOUSE

The same company behind Fear Farm is also behind the theatrical haunt, 13th Floor in northwest Phoenix. Its two haunts -- Ancient Evil and Zombieland Biohazard -- consist of more than 60,000-square-feet of lights, darkness, sets and spooky characters.

SCARIZONA SCAREGROUND

Scarizona has a new haunt for 2017 -- Startled Darkness. From the description on the website alone, this particular haunt is not for those fearful of complete darkness, confined spaces and people jumping out at you. Scarizona has two other haunts -- Slayer's Slaughter House and Epic Fear.

JACK AND JILL'S HAUNTED HILL

Jack and Jill is a two-story air-conditioned haunt in Phoenix. It started as a home haunt and has since grown into an annual Phoenix staple.

SANCTUM OF HORROR & THE BREACH

The Valley haunt is located at the Sears' parking lot at Superstition Springs Mall in Mesa. There are two haunted themes, Sanctum of Horror and The Breach.

THE CRYPT

The Crypt is back with three haunted houses this year. Located in the Fiesta Mall parking lot in Mesa, the themes for 2017 are The Crypt and The Asylum. The "Chaos Maze" is new for 2017.

GOLFLAND FRIGHT NIGHTS: THE GAUNTLET HAUNTED HOUSE & SPOOKTACULAR GOLF

The Gauntlet is Golfland's annual haunted house. For those looking for less of a scare, Spooktacular golf is Halloween-themed miniature golf.

AZ FIELD OF SCREAMS

Tolmachoff Farms in Glendale is back again with its haunted corn maze, AZ Field of Screams. The story goes that the farm was planted over an old cemetery and the dead have apparently come back to live.

OUTBREAK AT SCHNEPF FARMS

An outbreak is turning people into Zombies and it's up to you to help stop them. They've created a live-shoot paintball experience where people will take a hayride to the battlefield and shoot paintballs at zombies. Each experience is 15 minutes.
