Newly-inducted country music Hall of Famer Randy Travis made an appearance and sang during the opening number of the Country Music Association awards on Wednesday night.
Travis sang the final words to his song, "Forever and Ever, Amen" to the roar of the crowd and surrounded by hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. You can watch the exact moment below:
It was likely a special and joyous moment -- no doubt powerful for the country music community -- for Travis, who suffered a stroke in 2013.
Last month, Travis sang a portion of "Amazing Grace" during his Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
