PHOENIX – This Wednesday, Riverdale returns after a major real-life loss of Luke Perry who plays Fred Andrews in the show. Perry passed away last March at the age of 52 from a massive stroke.
It has been previously teased that the first episode is all about Fred Andrews and now we have more answers.
“Fred Andrews will always be a part of Riverdale,” Archie said in the promo.
In the newest promo, you see the cast gathering for a funeral in hopes to contribute to a story line and for all to find some ounce of closure.
Expect to have a box of tissues with during the season premiere. Hopefully Perry is looking down and proud of how the show came together in his honor.
Riverdale airs on Your Phoenix CW this Wednesday at 9pm.
