PHOENIX — A pedestrian was hit and killed near the Interstate 10 overpass at 35th Avenue early Saturday morning, according to Phoenix police.
Police say a 37-year-old Alem Berhe was standing on the center median of 35th Avenue on the south side of the I-10 overpass when she was hit by an unknown vehicle around 4 a.m. Saturday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, whose identity is currently unknown, did not stay at the scene, according to police.
