The Arizona State Sun Devils' bowl will essentially be a home game.

The Arizona Wildcats' bowl game, meanwhile, will be a true road test. Such is the price of losing the Territorial Cup.

On Sunday, the 6-6 Wildcats accepted an invitation to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl to face the New Mexico Lobos (7-5). The game will be played at University Stadium -- New Mexico's home field -- in Albuquerque on Dec. 19.

UA is no stranger to the New Mexico Bowl. The Wildcats rallied from a 13-point deficit in the final minute to defeat Nevada 49-48 in the 2012 game, Rich Rodriguez's first season as UA coach. On Saturday, Rodriguez turned down an offer to become South Carolina's head coach.
