A Gilbert man accused of fatally shooting a woman and a teenage boy in his home last year has changed his plea to guilty.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 35-year-old Matthew Crain pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of first-degree murder and single counts of aggravated assault, burglary and misconduct involving weapons.

He had pleaded not guilty in the case in January.

Crain now is scheduled to be sentenced on June 10.

Prosecutors say Crain shot 33-year-old Stacey Steward and her daughter's 17-year-old boyfriend Alex Tamborski on Oct. 11, 2015 during a dispute at the home Crain and Steward shared.

Police found the two victims dead at the scene.

They say Steward's daughter escaped and notified police.

Authorities say Tamborski was the girl's boyfriend and happened to be visiting.
