A home intrusion suspect was reportedly shot by a homeowner in west Phoenix overnight.
According to police on scene near 83rd Avenue and Osborn Road, a man arrived home to find that his arcadia door had been broken, but did not find anything inside his home.
Later, he awoke to find a man inside his house with a crowbar. The homeowner chased the suspect outside the home, shot the suspect and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
The suspect suffered a non-life threatening injury.
Police say the homeowner is cooperating and has been questioned and released.
