Phoenix police are on scene at a home near Southern and 35th avenues after a homeowner was shot overnight.
Police say the man was leaving for work and got into an altercation with two suspects who were outside his home. Police say the man was shot twice and is in critical condition.
Several cars in the area had open doors and police are working to confirm if they were broken into before the shooting.
Police have not released any information yet on the suspects, who left the scene.
